Kirkton Prayer Chain

Scripture says, “Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” Philippians 4: 6-7

The Prayer Room

Most Mondays between 12noon and 2.00pm there are two or three people available, in the church vestry, to personally pray with you on a one to one or group basis. This ministry is totally confidential and particularly focuses on the healing of body, mind and soul. Come along, any Monday, for prayer or just to find a listening ear and you will be made to feel most welcome.

The Kirkton Prayer Chain consists of a group of people who have undertaken to pray confidentially for the members, family and friends of Kirkton Church, as requests are received.  Prayer requests can be submitted anonymously as it is not necessary to give your name unless you wish to do so. Requests can be submitted via the e-mail address in the weekly intimation sheet. For security purposes, the e-mail address has not been included on this website.  Alternatively, requests can be written on the prayer request slips available in the church chairs. Only the Christian name or first initial of the person requiring prayer should be given. The slip should be placed in the ‘Prayer Request’ box in the vestibule. The Prayer Chain is very pleased to receive updates with regards to a request made, so the prayer focus remains relevant or can be discontinued.

The congregation is very much encouraged to use this facility alongside their own personal prayers for others. James 5:16 tells us, “The prayer of a good person has a powerful effect.
