Derek Smith says “I am cycling from Peebles to Drumlanrig Castle in Dumfriesshire on 14th September.
The race is part of the Tour of Britain route that the procycling team will ride the next day and is 100 miles long with over 6000 feet of climbing.
I have never cycled so far and felt it would be really appropriate if we could use it to start off a few fund raising events that Margaret and Robina have planned.
If anyone would like to donate please see me after the service on Sunday or the day after the race Margaret and Robina will be in Church.
CHAS runs two children's hospices, Rachel House in Kinross and Robin House in Balloch... Every day it costs £25,000 to run CHAS care services.”
