CRAWFORDDYKE PRIMARY SCHOOL AND NURSERY were delighted to announce that they had been shortlisted for a Tesco ‘Bags of Help’ award.  Their community centric project entitled ‘Growing Generations Garden’ will be up against two other Lanarkshire projects, the winners to be decided by public vote. From Monday 31st October, shoppers at Tesco in Carluke, Lanark and Lesmahagow will be offered a red token each time they pass through the check-out to pop into one of three bins to show support for the project they want to receive the top value grant of £12,000. The school have a vision of creating a true community garden for the Crawforddyke area and beyond in which young and not so young can learn from each other, sharing not only practical skills but life experiences in an improved, safe and natural environment created together by their own hands. It is down to the people to cast their votes, so please consider voting for Crawforddyke this week.
