Carluke Camera Club is running a number of “Introduction to Digital Photography” courses for interested parties over 50. The aim is to get that age group more involved in the digital media. The initial course will be held in St Andrew’s Church Hall, Carluke from 2.15pm till 3.45pm each Wednesday starting on Wednesday 23rd March.

All necessary equipment will be supplied by the club as the objective is to appeal to as wide an audience as possible. With a maximum of 6 participants per class, the cost will be £2.00 per session to help with the cost of the hall lets. The anticipated course content is as follows-

Weeks 1-6

An introduction to Digital Photography.

An introduction to Basic Computing.

Use of different settings on a digital camera.

Practical workshop on using the camera in different situations.

Downloading photos from the camera and basic manipulation.

Basic printing techniques.

Removing objects or restoring photos.

Weeks 7 & 8

An Introduction to producing an audio visual slideshow

Course review and Q & A.
