The U3A is an organisation which is not determined by age but rather is for anyone who is now retired or semi-retired. Lanark and District U3A has 150 members, 45% of whom live in Carluke. With over 20 interest groups, led by members, there is something for everyone. Some groups are for pure leisure and enjoyment while others enable some type of learning. New members are always welcome and if you have not heard about the U3A, why not give it a try by coming along to the first meeting of the session. You will be under no obligation to pay the very reasonable, annual £15.00 enrolment fee until you decide you wish to join. Find out more by visiting our website, as detailed above.

First meeting of session. The next general meeting of Lanark and District U3A will be on Wednesday 20the September at 2.00pm I Lanark Memorial Hall when the speaker will be Sylvia Russell who will speak about “Those magnificent men in their flying machines” and their association with Lanark.
