7pm on Thursday 19th November 2015  in Hamilton Old Parish Church

There are still eats available on the bus which will leave Kirkton Church at 6.00pm prompt. For the information of those who wish to drive the following has come from the Session Clerk at Hamilton Old.

Parking Arrangements

As you are aware parking in and around Hamilton Old Parish Church is extremely limited. Consequently on the night of the Ordination and Induction the following arrangements will apply.

The small church car park off Strathmore Road will be reserved for the exclusive use of Rev Blackman, officiating clergy, the church organist and members of Hamilton Presbytery.  Parking will not be permitted within the church grounds or around the church.  South Lanarkshire Council have very kindly agreed to provide their car park at the rear of the Q&A offices at the corner of Brandon Street and Leechlee Road free of charge on the night and entry can gained via the traffic lights opposite the bus station on Brandon Street.

The usual on street parking is available,  to a very limited extent,  on both Strathmore Road and Cadzow Street, however with the exception of the Town Hall side of Cadzow Street, from Leechlee Road to Lower Auchingramont Road,  parking charges will apply until around 7.30pm. Parking is also available at the town’s car parks in Duke Street, (top floor only), Hamilton Bus Station, Church Street and Auchingramont Road and again charges will apply until around 7.30pm.

Please note no parking will be allowed on Leechlee Road where the usual restrictions will be in place until 9pm.
