Greyfriars Parish Church will be acting as a collecting point for supplies to help the refugees in Calais over the coming weeks. They are working with Erskine Parish Church who are organising a van to Calais with supplies to help the refugees.

If you can help with any of the items below, then please drop them off at Greyfriars Church office (off Friars lane) on a Monday, Wednesday or Friday morning, or to the church on a Sunday ... or indeed anytime you see the hall open. They will them arrange to get them to Calais. Alternatively goods can be left at the office of Aileen Campbell MSP in Kirkton Chambers, Kirkton St, Carluke,  10-12noon and 2-4pm any weekday morning.

Let us all remember those words of Jesus “I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me. Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.”

Please help in any way you can. Remember that those we read about are fleeing persecution and war. We must help. Thank you
